How to set up previous offer conditions (upsells/downsells) on post-purchase pages
In this guide, we'll walk you through setting up a condition on your first post-purchase page, adding an upsell and a downsell offer on the second post-purchase page, and showing how everything works together on a live site.
[A] Preparing:- Setting up a condition to be met on Post-Purchase page 1
- Navigate to the Post-purchase page 1 in your ReConvert dashboard
- Select the slot where you want to add a condition
- Click on Add Condition
- Set the condition to activate when a desired product is in the cart
- Select the widget that will be displayed when the condition is met
- Save the condition
[B] Setting up the Previous Offer Condition on Post-Purchase 2
- Navigate to the Post-purchase 2nd page in your ReConvert dashboard
- Click on Add Condition
- Choose Previous Offer as the condition type
- Set Operator 1 to Previous Offer [Accepted/Declined] on Post-purchase 1st page as needed
- Set Operator 2 to the page where the selected accept/decline action took place
- Set Operator 3 to either:
- Any condition was accepted/declined
- Specific condition(s) were accepted/declined
- If selecting specific condition(s) in Step 6, a multiple-choice condition list will appear. Select the condition(s) that triggered the action on the previous page:-
📌 Example Scenarios:-
- Show Offer A on the Thank You page if the customer accepted both the first and second condition on the first post-purchase page
- Show Offer B if they accepted only the second condition on that page
- Show Offer C if they accepted/declined all relevant offers on the page
- Within the editor, select and design the widget to display when the previous condition is met
- Save the condition
[C] Verification of the Setup
- Go to your live store and select the product that will activate the condition on the first post-purchase page
- Complete the purchase to reach the first post-purchase page and check that the post-purchase offer is correctly displayed
- Accept the first post-purchase upsell as created above
- Verify your flows are working as intended
