Getting Started with ReConvert

Congratulations! You've made the amazing decision to install ReConvert and boost your store's revenue. Here's how to get started and set up the app for the best results.

When you reach the onboarding screen, you will have two options:

Quick Start (Recommended)- we will set things up for you and take you through a guided activation process
Manual - you will land straight on our Flow Builder, where you will be able to see each page and step in your customers' purchase flow and decide which widgets to add and when. For a detailed guide on manual setup, please refer to our manual setup article

This article will cover the recommended Quick Start, which will take you through getting ReConvert working on your Shopify store in 3 steps:

Select the maximum discount you wish to offer customers
ReConvert will automatically create all the widgets and slots for you in the background
Add ReConvert app blocks to the thank you page, order status page, post-purchase page, and (for Shopify Plus) to the checkout page

Quick Start Process

Set the Maximum Discount and Relevant Widgets

Select the maximum discount you would like to offer your customers- we will automatically distribute the discount percentages across different pages for maximum conversions

Select which pages you'd like to add ReConvert widgets to. Either select all (Recommended) or click specific pages and set the widgets you want to add to the page



Note: Only Shopify Plus customers will see the 'Checkout' widgets option

Click Get Started

Add ReConvert to the Thank You Page

We've created the widgets for you in the back-end so all that's left is to add them to the thank you page.

To do that, you will need to add ReConvert app blocks to your Shopify thank you page, through the Shopify editor. It is a quick process that takes less than a minute, and this section will take you through doing that.

Click click here, and you will be redirected to the Shopify thank you page editor



Click Add App Block at the bottom of the page



Select the first ReConvert block- Thank You Page Slot 1



Click the back button



You will see the Thank You Page Slot 1 displayed within the Shopify editor



Move this Slot to the area where you want the widgets to be displayed. You can add and position further slots later by returning to this screen. Drag and drop functionality to the left-hand side of the app block will allow you to reposition it

Click Save in the top right-hand corner



Close the tab and return to the ReConvert setup

ReConvert on your thank you page should now automatically show 'detected'. If it does, you can go ahead and click Next to move on to the next step. ✅



If it does not show 'detected', click Check Status.

The status should display Detected. Once it displays Detected you can go ahead and click Next.

If Detected is still not displayed then please repeat steps 1-7 here and check that you saved the ReConvert app block to the thank you page.

It is really important that Detected is displayed, in order for ReConvert to display widgets on your thank you page.

Add ReConvert to the Shopify Editor in the Order Status Page

Once again, we've created the widgets for you in the back-end so all that's left is to add ReConvert to the order status page.

To add ReConvert to your order status page, follow the same steps you did to add it to the thank you page:

Click click here, and you will be redirected to the Shopify order status page editor
Click Add App Block at the bottom of the page
Move your app block to the desired location
Click Save and close the tab to go back to the ReConvert setup page



Make sure ReConvert is detected on your order status page. Once it is, you can go ahead and click Next to move on to the next step ✅

Set ReConvert as your Post-Purchase app

Now, we need to assign ReConvert as your post-purchase app so that ReConvert can work its magic at post-purchase!

This is a slightly different process than the other pages, but also take only a few clicks.

Click click here to bring up the Shopify Checkout settings
Scroll down to Post-purchase page
Select ReConvert as your post-purchase app
Click Save
Close the tab and return to the ReConvert setup



Make sure the post-purchase app shows 'ReConvert'. Once it does, you can go ahead and click Next to move on to the next step ✅

Add ReConvert to the Shopify Editor in the Checkout Page [Shopify Plus Customers Only]

Once again, we've created the widgets for you in the back-end so all that's left is to add ReConvert to the checkout page in exactly the same way as we did on the thank you and order status pages.

Click click here, and you will be redirected to the Shopify checkout editor
Click Add App Block at the bottom of the page
Move your app block to the desired location
Click Save and close the tab to go back to the ReConvert setup page



Make sure ReConvert is detected on your checkout page. Once it is, you can go ahead and click Next to move on to the next step ✅
