Success & error banner block | Shopify



💡 Note: The success & error banner block may look slightly different depending on the widget and page type you are using. Additionally, this block is not available on post-purchase pages—Shopify has its own built-in success/error messaging, making it unnecessary.

Follow the GIF to locate the success & error banner block in the ReConvert editor. If you don’t see it in your widget, click "add block" to check if it’s available



The Success / Error banner actions panel will open on the right-hand side



You can choose whether to display or hide the banner when:

A product is successfully added to the cart

There is an error when adding or removing a product


The success banner confirms that an item was successfully added to the cart. You can customize it by:

Changing the default message ("Item successfully added to the cart")

Selecting a banner type:

- Success (recommended)

- Info

- Warning

- Critical


Making the success banner dismissible, allowing customers to close it by clicking an "X"


Clicking "Preview success banner" to generate a popup showing what the customer will see when the banner is triggered



The error banner appears if there is an issue adding or removing an item. You can customize it by:

Selecting a banner type:
- Info
- Success
- Warning
- Critical (recommended for error messages)

Keeping the dynamic error message enabled (recommended) to display specific error details in English

=> If most of your customers are not English speakers, you may prefer to enter a custom error message in their language
=> Note: Custom error messages will not be dynamic
Example: Instead of an auto-generated message, you could write in your customers' language a generalized error message:
=> "We have encountered an error. Please contact help@ourstore.com to process your order manually."

Clicking "Preview error banner" to generate a popup showing what the customer will see when the error banner is triggered


Once you've made your customizations, click save at the top-right corner to apply your updates

To learn more about a specific block within a widget, you can:

Navigate using the sidebar on the left-hand side of the page
Click learn more in the action section for additional help desk articles and videos
