Accept button | Shopify
Accept button block | Shopify
The Accept button block allows customers to accept an offer within widgets that contain a product block. This feature is available in several widgets, including the Bundle, Product Recommendations, and Product Upsell widgets and is available across all pages of the checkout and post-purchase flow. Follow this guide to customize and configure the Accept button to optimize your store’s upselling strategy.
Accessing the accept button block
Open the ReConvert Editor
Navigate to a widget that includes the Accept Button block, such as Bundle, Product Recommendations, or Product Upsell
Configuring the accept button
Button type
Choose from three button styles to fit your store’s layout and sales flow:
Primary: Highly visible, recommended for most pages except the checkout
Secondary: Less prominent but still interactive, ideal for the checkout page
Plain: Minimal style with no obvious button appearance, suitable for a subtle approach
Button placement tips
* For checkout pages, we recommend using Secondary or Plain to keep focus on the main checkout button
* For other pages, such as the Thank You page, consider the Primary style for increased visibility
Customizing button text
Default text is Buy Now, but you can modify it as needed
Add dynamic placeholders to display relevant information, such as the Total Added Price, making it clear to customers what they are accepting
Saving changes
After customizing the button, click Save at the top-right corner to apply updates.
Special options for post-purchase pages
On one-click upsell (post-purchase) pages, the Accept button has an additional Require Second Click option that can be enabled:
Enable Second Click: Adds a second confirmation step to reduce accidental purchases
Customize the confirmation text to clearly communicate the action required
When enabled, the button text will update upon the first click, and the customer must click again to complete the upsell
Tip: This feature is particularly useful for one-click upsell pages, where additional confirmation helps prevent unintentional purchases |
Behavior on acceptance
The action triggered by the Accept button depends on the widget and page with which you are using the accept button. For example:
Checkout page: Product is added to the checkout page with minimal interaction
Post-purchase pages: If the second-click confirmation is enabled, the customer must confirm before the offer is added to their order
Thank you page / Order status page: Product is added to the customer’s order; the widget may hide or remain visible based on your configuration
